Transportation Infrastructure

The Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce believes well-planned transportation and infrastructure investments make the Pittsburgh region more attractive for business investment and improves the quality of life. We believe a key role of government is to provide sound networks to move goods, services and utilities to market. We have long supported policies that strengthen and improve our transportation network of roads, bridges, highways, airports, ports and public transportation.

In 2013, the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce led a state-wide coalition that advocated for the passage of a historic transportation infrastructure funding bill – Act 89 – that is investing $2.4 billion annually into the state’s transportation network of roads, bridges and highways and is providing essential funding for public transportation systems across the state including the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
